TERMS OF SERVICE

Last Updated: October 2025

These terms are pretty straightforward—we’re not lawyers, and we’re not trying to trick you.

WHAT YOU’RE AGREEING TO

By using AP Lang Calculator, you’re agreeing to use our site responsibly. That means don’t try to hack it, don’t scrape our content, and don’t be a jerk. Common sense stuff.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

We provide a free tool that estimates AP English Language scores based on College Board’s publicly available scoring guidelines. We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we’re not making legal promises about uptime or perfection.

WHAT WE DON’T PROMISE

Our predictions are estimates—good ones, but still estimates. Your actual AP score might differ. Don’t make major life decisions solely based on our calculator. If you’re deciding between colleges or choosing courses based on expected AP credit, verify everything with official sources.

We update our scoring curves when College Board releases new information, but there might be brief periods where data is slightly outdated. We’re not deliberately misleading you—we’re just regular people keeping up with official changes.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The calculator, website design, and original content belong to us. You can use the calculator freely, share links, and talk about us online—but don’t copy our code or content to create competing services. That’s uncool.

College Board owns trademarks like “AP” and “Advanced Placement.” We use these terms because they’re necessary to explain what our calculator does, not because we’re claiming to be affiliated with them.

LIABILITY LIMITS

We’re providing this service for free, which means we’re not liable for damages if something goes wrong. If the calculator gives a wonky prediction, if the site goes down during peak score season, if you make decisions based on our estimates—that’s on you, not us.

Harsh? Maybe. But we’re doing this as a free service to help students, not as a business with insurance and legal teams.

CHANGES TO TERMS

We might update these terms occasionally. If we make major changes, we’ll note it at the top with a new date. Continuing to use the site after changes means you accept the new terms.

TERMINATION

We reserve the right to block access if someone’s abusing the service—automated scraping, attempting to hack, that sort of thing. Normal use? You’re always welcome.

GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by United States law. If somehow there’s a legal dispute (which we really hope never happens), it’ll be handled in our jurisdiction.

CONTACT

Questions about these terms? Reach out through our contact page. We’ll do our best to clarify.

Bottom line: use the calculator to help with AP Lang studying. Don’t abuse it. Don’t sue us. We’re all good.
