AP® and Advanced Placement® are registered trademarks owned by the College Board. We use these terms because that’s what the exam is called—not because we’re pretending to be them.
ESTIMATES, NOT GUARANTEES
Our calculator provides score predictions based on historical College Board data. These are educated estimates, not certainties. Your actual AP score might be higher, lower, or exactly what we predict.
Why might predictions differ from reality?
- Essay scoring is subjective. What you think deserves a 5 might get scored as a 4 by official graders.
- Score curves adjust slightly each year based on national performance.
- We use historical averages; your specific exam might have a more generous or stricter curve.
- Calculation errors happen. We test extensively, but bugs exist.
